يستأنف مستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني للتأهيل والأطراف الصناعية بغزة والممول من صندوق قطر للتنمية، تقديم خدماته للمرضى والجرحى وذلك متجاوزًا الدمار الذي لحق بمقدراته وتجهيزاته وأقسامه جراء العدوان الإسرائيلي على غزة.
قال السيد فهد السليطي، مدير عام صندوق قطر للتنمية:" منذ انطلاق مستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني للتأهيل والأطراف الصناعية في غزة، تمكنا من تقديم الخدمات للعديد من المستفيدين. ورغم التحديات، وبفضل الجهود الحثيثة، استأنف المستشفى عمله مجددًا، مما يشكل خطوة بالغة الأهمية في ظل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر بها أهلنا في غزة. ومع التدهور الحاد في القطاع الطبي والحاجة الملحّة لمثل هذه الخدمات، يظل المستشفى بارقة أمل. إن استمرار عمله يعكس التزام دولة قطر الراسخ بدعم الأشقاء الفلسطينيين، وتوفير الرعاية الصحية اللازمة لهم رغم التحديات."
وقال الدكتور خالد عبد الهادي العضو المنتدب ونائب رئيس مجلس إدارة مستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني " في إطار الاستجابة الطارئة لاحتياجات المرضى وجرحى الحرب على غزة مع تهالك المنظومة الصحية ورغم تأثر القدرة التشغيلية للمستشفى والتي وصلت إلى 70% وتكبد المستشفى خسائر تقدر ب 4.5 مليون دولار، قرر مجلس إدارة المستشفى البدء بتقديم الخدمات فور وقف إطلاق النار وذلك بعد إخراج المشفى عن الخدمة خلال مدة العدوان على غزة"
وأكد الدكتور خالد عبد الهادي على استمرار دولة قطر أميرًا وحكومةً وشعباً في دعم الأشقاء في فلسطين بهدف مساعدتهم على تخطي الأوضاع الراهنة والتخفيف من معاناتهم والسير بمجتمعهم نحو مستقبل أفضل.
وتتكون خطة الإستجابة الإستراتيجية من ثلاث مراحل تأخذ بالحسبان ضمان وصول الخدمات لمحتاجيها تبدأ أولها ومدتها أسبوع بعد إزالة الركام وتهيئة مقر المشفى - في أخذ قياسات الأطراف الصناعية وتصنيعها من خلال المواد المتوفرة في المخازن حيث يقدر أعداد ذوي البتر بنحو 4500 بتر جديد تضاف إلى حالات البتر القديم والتي تقدر بـ 2000 حالة بحاجة إلى متابعة وصيانة للأطراف القديمة، إلى جانب تشغيل خدمات السمعيات الضرورية للأطفال زارعي القوقعة وما يحتاجونه من تأهيل سمعي لفظي وبرمجة وقطع غيار.
تتألف خطة الاستجابة الاستراتيجية من ثلاث مراحل، تهدف لضمان وصول الخدمات إلى المحتاجين. تبدأ المرحلة الأولى بعد إزالة الركام وتهيئة مقر المستشفى، حيث تشمل أخذ قياسات الأطراف الصناعية وتصنيعها باستخدام المواد المتوفرة في المخازن، وتستمر لمدة أسبوع. يُقدّر عدد حالات البتر الجديدة بحوالي 4500 حالة، إضافة إلى 2000 حالة بتر قديمة تحتاج إلى صيانة ومتابعة. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تتضمن الخطة تشغيل خدمات السمعيات للأطفال الذين خضعوا لزراعة القوقعة، بما في ذلك التأهيل السمعي واللفظي، وبرمجة الأجهزة، وتوفير قطع الغيار اللازمة.
في المرحلة الثانية، وخلال أسبوعين، سيتم تشغيل العيادات الخارجية التي تقدم خدمات نوعية تشمل تأهيل السكتة الدماغية، تأهيل إصابات الدماغ والحبل الشوكي، تأهيل البتر، تأهيل الأطفال، تأهيل العظام والأمراض الهيكلية والعضلية، علاج الألم، تأهيل المثانة وأمراض الذكورة. كما سيتم تشغيل خدمات التأهيل الخارجية للمرضى الذين يحتاجون بشكل عاجل إلى العلاج الطبيعي، والعلاج الوظيفي، والتخاطب والبلع، حيث يُقدّر عدد المصابين الذين يحتاجون إلى تأهيل بنحو 24 ألف حالة. ستشمل المرحلة أيضًا تشغيل الخدمات المخبرية والتصوير المقطعي والأشعة. أما في المرحلة الثالثة، فسيتم استئناف خدمات المبيت لتأهيل المرضى بعد الإصابات المختلفة.
من جهته، أشار المدير العام لمستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني أ. أحمد نعيم أن جهود إعادة تأهيل وتهيئة مقر المستشفى وأقسامه تمت بالحد الأدنى ووفق الإمكانيات المتاحة والمتوفرة، ونسعى جاهدين من خلال التنسيقات الجارية مع الشركاء والمؤسسات الدولية إلى محاولة إدخال ما يحتاجه المستشفى من معدات طبية طارئة وأجهزة تلزم لتشغيل المستشفى بطاقته القصوى وتعين على تقديم الخدمات للمرضى وفق أعلى معايير الجودة. ووجه نعيم نداءه للمؤسسات الدولية والمحلية للتعاون المثمر لتوسيع تقديم الخدمات وتطويرها وتحسين الوصول إلى المستفيدين لخدمتهم بالشكل الأمثل.
يذكر أن مستشفى صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني للتأهيل والأطراف الصناعية بغزة قدم خدماته منذ افتتاحه في أبريل عام 2019 وحتى بدء العدوان لأكثر من 40 ألف شخص من المرضى وذوي الإعاقات المختلفة. كما يُعد المستشفى من أكبر المستشفيات التأهيل الحيوية والنوعية في قطاع غزة، حيث يقدم خدماته مجانًا من خلال أقسام الرئيسة الثلاثة التي تتكون من قسم الأطراف الصناعية، قسم السمع والتوازن، قسم التأهيل الطبي.
وتجسد هذه الخطوة الهامة التزام دولة قطر الثابت، من خلال صندوق قطر للتنمية، بدعم الشعب الفلسطيني الشقيق في هذه الظروف الإنسانية الصعبة والمساهمة في التخفيف من معاناتهم.

HH The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza, funded by Qatar Fund for Development, resumes the provision of its services for patients and the wounded, overcoming the destruction of its infrastructure, equipment, and departments due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Mr. Fahad Al-Sulaiti, Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development, said: "Since the establishment of HH The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza, we have been able to provide services to many beneficiaries. Despite the challenges, and thanks to great efforts, the hospital has resumed operations, marking a crucial step considering the difficult conditions our people in Gaza are facing. With the severe deterioration of the healthcare sector and the urgent need for such services, the hospital remains a beacon of hope. Its continued operation reflects Qatar’s steadfast commitment to supporting our Palestinian brothers and providing them with the necessary healthcare despite the challenges."
Dr. Khaled Abdel Hadi, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hamad Hospital, stated: "As part of the emergency response to the needs of patients and war casualties in Gaza, and given the collapse of the healthcare system, despite the operational capacity of the hospital being reduced to 70% and losses amounting to $4.5 million, the Board of Directors decided to resume services immediately after the ceasefire. This comes after the hospital was forced out of service during the period of aggression on Gaza."
Dr. Khaled Abdel Hadi reaffirmed that Qatar, under the leadership of its Emir, government, and people, remains committed to supporting the Palestinian people, helping them overcome the current crisis, and advancing their society toward a better future.
The response strategy consisting of three phases to ensure the continuation of services for those in need. The first phase, lasting one week after clearing the rubble and preparing the hospital premises, will focus on measuring and manufacturing prosthetics using the available materials in storage. It is estimated that around 4,500 new amputees need prosthetics in addition to the 2,000 existing cases requiring maintenance and follow-up care. Additionally, vital audiology services will be reactivated for children with cochlear implants, including auditory-verbal rehabilitation, programming, and spare parts provision.
In the second phase, expected to last two weeks, outpatient clinics will reopen to provide specialized rehabilitation services, including stroke rehabilitation, brain and spinal cord injury rehabilitation, amputation rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and orthopedic rehabilitation, pain management, bladder rehabilitation, and men's health services. Outpatient rehabilitation services, such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and swallowing therapy, will also resume. Currently, approximately 24,000 injured individuals require rehabilitation. Laboratory services, CT scans, and X-ray services will also be reintroduced. The third phase will see the return of inpatient rehabilitation services for patients recovering from various injuries.
Meanwhile, the hospital’s General Director, Mr. Ahmed Naim, noted that the hospital’s rehabilitation and restoration efforts were carried out with minimal resources and within available means. He emphasized ongoing coordination efforts with partners and international organizations to procure essential medical equipment and devices to fully restore the hospital’s capacity and maintain high-quality healthcare services for patients. Mr. Naim also called on international and local organizations to collaborate in expanding and improving services to ensure optimal care for beneficiaries.
It is worth mentioning that HH The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza, funded by Qatar Fund for Development, has provided services to more than 40,000 patients and individuals with disabilities since its inauguration in April 2019 until the onset of the aggression. The hospital is considered one of the largest and most vital rehabilitation facilities in Gaza, offering its services free of charge through its three main departments including Prosthetics, Audiology and Balance, and Medical Rehabilitation.
This important step reflects the State of Qatar's steadfast commitment, through the Qatar Fund for Development, to support the brotherly Palestinian people in these difficult humanitarian circumstances and contributing to alleviating their suffering.
